Neighbourhood Centre Award

Friday morning, 4th December, Fr. Bernard and three of the volunteers arrived at the Keepmoat Stadium for the CVS , (Community Volunteer Services) Annual General Meeting and Awards Ceremony.

As the Awards Ceremony got underway, the stories we heard all seemed very familiar, stories of people and groups who were feeding the hungry, helping the poor, looking after the lonely, the lame etc. You have heard these stories haven't you? They are all in the Gospels and isn't it good to know that the 'Good News' is still alive and active in Doncaster.

When the time came for the winners of the 'Community Group of the Year' (voted for by the public of Doncaster) to be announced and we heard the words 'Neighbourhood Centre, Cantley', it was emotional, humbling and encouraging to know that we too are part of something worthwhile. Without your support, the support of the local community and all our volunteers, we would not be able to achieve this. Thank you all.
