First Reconciliation & First Holy Communion

The times of Mass and Confessions are given elsewhere.

Invitations to parents to submit names for the preparation course go out in June, and the course starts in September. One session a month takes place over 9 months.

The course entitled ‘With you always’ is based in the parish. The children prepare for the sacraments of Reconciliation and Eucharist through Family Catechesis. Everyone is made welcome. The sessions are supported by catechists, but taught by parents, as parents are the ‘first and best teachers of their child in the ways of the faith.’ It is a wonderful way in which to prepare children for the sacraments, and a time for parents and children to deepen their relationship which Jesus Christ within the parish community.

We are fortunate in having the help of six catechists, and parish involvement.
