Readers play an important role in the celebration of the Mass.

By reading the Scriptures as part of the Liturgy of the Word, in doing so, they help the church to understand Word of God. We are fortunate to have a small group of readers for all the weekend Masses at St Paul’s but new readers are always welcome.

Two readers are required for each weekend Mass and usually the commitment involved would be reading once every 4 to 6 weeks. A readers’ rota is prepared and circulated, which sets when each reader is expected to read.
