Altar Servers, What do we Do?

The role of the Altar Server is very important because he/she is one of the closest persons to the Altar and to the Priest representing Jesus Christ during the celebration of the Holy Mass and the administration of the Sacraments. The service of the Altar Server is greatly appreciated by the church.

Anyone who has made their First Holy Communion, male or female is eligible to become a server and there is no upper age limit.

A full programme of training will be provided, normally over a 3 week period on a Saturday morning with each session lasting approximately one hour along.
