The Chair of Pastoral Council’s main duties and responsibilities includes:
- To chair the 6 meetings held per year along with Open Parish Meetings.
- Prepare in conjunction with the Parish Priest, the agenda for each Pastoral Council Meeting.
- Collaborates with the Parish Priest in developing and reviewing the pastoral plan of the parish.
- Has an ongoing and open dialogue with parishioners and parish groups to assess the pastoral needs of the parish community.
- Observes discretion in the confidential matters arising from Parish Pastoral Council Meetings.
- Provides positive leadership, organizational and decision-making skills.
- Have good interpersonal communication and able to work harmoniously with Parish groups for the common good.
- Providing practical support at Parish events
- On occasions representing the Parish at Deanery / Diocesan level
- Attend the Parish Finance Committee meetings.
