‘The Ark’ is a baby and toddler group which has been running since September 2012 on Friday mornings (10.30 – 12noon), during term time, at no charge.
The lead coordinator is Arthi Fernando. A number of different activities take place including arts & crafts, songs and stories. Mums, dads, grandparents and carers are all welcome and we average between 8-12 children at each session.
The group work to a theme for our crafts and story/songs for 6-8 weeks at a time. The themes include, Noah’s Ark, Christmas, etc. For Noah’s Ark a bible story was read in many different formats as well as stories relating to animals. The team then crafted a large Ark to which children added the animals that they made each week, slowly building up to a full picture of the Ark, complete with Rainbow.
An annual Christmas party takes place and includes a visit from Father Christmas. The Christmas is story was told along with singing Carols.
If you have a pre-school child that would benefit from some play time with other children and activities within a faith environment, you are most welcome to drop in on a Friday morning.
