Once again, everyone in the parish seems to have been involved in preparation and celebration. The children’s faces were transformed into cats, or pirates, or beauty queens. The Irish dancers showed lightness of feet and elegance of movement. Everyone had a good time. To both organisers and workers, our heartfelt thanks. To winners of raffles and draws, congratulations. This year, because their plight is so desperate, all the money made will go to Christian Refugees in Syria, where hundreds and thousands have been made destitute, and many maimed or killed. All borders have been closed; they have no-one to turn to. The final total raised was £1,200
